Clean Up Your Kitchen in 3 Easy Steps

Every kitchen has the potential to be a mess. As a mother of three, let me assure you, no matter how clean and organized your kitchen looks right now, it will get messy if you don’t take care of it as soon as possible. What is it that I mean by taking care of the kitchen you ask? Well, for firsts, it means that you need a system of organization that works now, with the limited stuff you have in your kitchen and one that will expand over time to take up the extra load once you have a couple of guests or frinds over or if you enf up having kids!

The systems is pretty easy to set up and I’ll outline my system here that will help you get the work done right so you can concentrate on living your life. You’ll need some tools to help you out here though. I use most of my tools and plastic storage bins from Tupperware. The fact that the plastic that they sell is food grade makes it pretty easy for me to trust them with my food. You will also need a clear plastic basket or two to stock up on the raw veggies and make managing them easy. With these tools at hand, you should be ready to conquer the uphill climb that are messy fridge compartments.

Sort all the raw food first. Put it in the baskets and then allocate a shelf to it all. Next, get a few clear plastic boxes for the leftovers and other processed food. The best thing about clear plastic boxes is that you don’t have to worry about labeling them or having to sift through them when you are looking for what is inside them. Get in, pick out what you want and get the box out – simple and painless.
