A wind up lantern is a kind of light which is also known as crank lantern. As it name implies, by just winding up the crank, it gains energy and produces light. It doesn’t have to rely on batteries or fuel. It has a dynamo and rechargeable battery inside so it can be recharged if there’s a power source available. It’s really a must have piece of equipment because easy to operate, convenient, cheap and it’s great to have in times when you need light but have no power.
