Hotel rooms come with inflexible checkout times, cramped space or noisy neighbors. The main reason why renting a holiday home is better is that you will have a home that is fully equipped. If you prefer a self catered holiday then a holiday home or villa is what will meet your needs. In a hotel room, you do not have access to the kitchen or the cooking facilties. This automatically increases the cost of the vacation because restaurant and hotel include the service costs in the food. A holiday home has a kitchen and you have access to it at whatever time for whatever number of times. This adds the variety of food because you are catering to yourself and makes it more convenient if you have special diet needs.
A holiday home is bound to be more spacious than a hotel room. They have several bedrooms, mostly a private swimming pool, kitchen, lounge and a sitting room, dinning area and a patio. Some have a terrace and laundry room. This should be enough space for any group of people to have individual as well as group privacy from other people. The holiday homes are fully equipped with entertainment gadgets, cooking equipment as well as laundry. You can also cut down on costs by doing your own laundry. Also, when staying in a holiday villa or cottage, you may get a discount for reserving or staying more than just a few nights and this is another way of saving money.
