Mobile Faxing is Possible with Fax Services

Are you looking for a fax solution that lets you send and receive faxes away from your office?  Say hello to email fax services! In the past few years these services have become the preferred way to fax, because not only of the speed and reduced because, but also because these services let you fax from anywhere!

All you need to get started is a mobile device and an Internet connection.  Though at first this meant that you had to fax from a laptop, now it is possible to fax from iPad, iPhones, Android, Blackberry devices, among other options.

To fax from a laptop, you simply use your email address.  This methods works to fax from Mac computers and PCs, as it is all web-based technology.  To send a fax, you create a new email message, fill the required fields and add the document to the message as an attachment.  The document will be converted for compatibility with fax machines and you’ll receive a confirmation of delivery.  Receiving fax is automatic, and you’ll have to check your inbox for incoming notifications. You can fax using Gmail or any other free provider.

If you prefer to use a more portable device, you will find some apps designed especially for these devices. Right now the fax services offering apps are eFax, Ringcentral Fax and MyFax. All of them are great alternatives. You will find that all of the apps designed for iPhone will work as well on your iPad.  If you own another tablet computer, you can also opt to use the laptop method, provided you can attach images/documents into your email messages.

Fax apps allow you to compose new faxes by taking advantage of the device’s camera when available.  So for example if you want to fax a physical document, you just snap a picture of the document and it will be forwarded to the fax app, where you will only need to fill the required fields for sending.  Just like in the case of computers, you’ll receive a notification when a fax has been successfully sent.

As you can see, you have some options when it comes to send and receive fax on the go.  Mobile apps are free to download, but they must be used along a corresponding fax account with a service.  If you want to try before you buy, you can choose to open a 30-day free trial account, which by the way, comes with all features enabled.
